Prorogued Union

Every time impassioned night feels

It will fondle the fervent day

With its ethereal mystery this time

At a stead and hour where

The day is secret to all
Known only to her,

Vicious Sunshine of reality

Intervenes and in a swoosh

The anticipated wishful union

Is again prorogued for

The next twilight…

Why?

Earth

O Earth! Do not yet fret

Thou art abundantly heedless,

It needs a forlorn sojourn

Of brooding darkness

And arduous wait

For the indigent sky,

To get the brightest star

To gleam as its amore…

Sun

And as the flaring tepid Sun

Basked valley veiled from hills

Pecked the dewy skin of earth,

Doubts of deep lurid eluding night

Melted in the shimmering lake

Underneath the floating blue lotus…

Earth and Sky

Avid Earth swivels at Sky blithely

With a silent prayer in every breath

Teeming Sky holds back rains

For fear of contusing her

With his pithy deluge

Distance

Distance was arduous to her frail heart

Impish Waterfall was oblivious

Proximity to Sea would be more formidable

Words

Gloom rattles enduring soul

Silence lacerates indurate hearts

But Beacon still lends hope

And Words still thaw gravel

Pain

When tenderness squeak through dewy lips
And warm tears numb fluttering cheeks
When vindictive pain throb the heart
And every breath becomes a torment
