Self

Swimming of the birds, Flying of the fish,

Flowering of butterflies, Fluttering of flowers,

Gloominess of the day, Splendour of the night,

Flowing of the grass, Stability of the rivulet,

Sorrows of the other, Happiness of the self…

Why?

The Sun approached with its radiance on my face,

Loathed it and wanted it to shimmer as Moon,

The Moon failed to beguile for long …

So wanted it to become the Cloud,

The Cloud cast too dark a shadow,

Now want the Sun back to shine on my face….

Alone

We all want to be famous and known,

Not always follow what is to us shown,

Cry for the loss but not forever moan,

Forgetting that nobody can make it here all alone….

Small a thing

Is it so small a thing?

To have made someone cry,

To have slashed an insult,

To have made someone feel guilty,

To have hurt someone who loved you….

Is it so small a thing?

To have cried for someone,

To have accepted injury ,

To have felt guilty for no reason,

To have been hurt in love….

Predicament

I am groping in darkness,

Let me not witness  light,

I am all but lost,

Let me not find  way,

I am happy in ignorance,

Let me not get knowledge,

Happy with company of my tears,

Let not happiness make me lonely….

Sojourn

I search my soul and try to explore,

Watching the ocean tides from the shore,

Setting of the sun and Rising of the moon,

The warm breeze in the month of June….

                                    

Opening of a new chapter everyday,

Though previous chapter for us to pay,

Surprises galore to be understood,

Winking of the eye behind the hood….

Changing of beliefs causing pain,

Wondering  often what is the gain,

Feeling of emptiness killing slowly,

Some vacuums though filling surely….

Hope  lessons learnt unravel the mystery,

Sweet fruits are borne on the life tree,

No matter how the story eventually  unfolds,

Make sure it is  better than any already told….

A tear and a Smile

A tear to purify the heart,

A smile to glorify the God,

A tear to unite with broken,

A smile to cheerup the shaken,

A tear to understand life’s secret,

A smile for the joys of so much unsaid…..
